"How are you doing in the cold?" all my mom's Minnesota friends have asked.

"I kind of like it!" I tell them.
And when they tsk, I continue with a shrug, "It's a novelty for us."
"Right!" my brother agrees. "Plus? We're leaving tomorrow!"
